Paris" (for the earthenware factory of "Georges Dreyfus" for the Olibet factory). 20th century W. 11.5 cm - D. 12 cm - H. 7 cm A chip in the box A cake box is attached In terracotta and polychrome plaster. A trompe l'oeil imitation of a bag of chestnuts, labelled "Marrons". 20th century H. 19 cm Chips "The Faïencerie Georges Dreyfus in Moret-sur-Loing opened its doors in 1890. Georges Dreyfus demonstrated a spirit of creativity, producing original pieces such as wall-mounted bouquetières and trompe l'œil cake dishes, as well as water jugs in barbotine depicting ducks, cats, roosters, etc. The economic crisis of the 1930s hit the Moret-sur-Loing earthenware factory hard, as much of its production was destined for export to America, forcing it to close its doors in 1936".
