PINCEMIN (Jean-Pierre). (1944-2005). The Doll. Original print on Arches paper mounted on canvas. 108 x 82 cm, framed in a light oak box. Jean-Pierre Pincemin produced the series of carborundum-engraved dolls in the Pasnic studio, reserving the right to transform some of them into originals by enhancing them himself with modelling clay. The result is an extraordinary work, playing on the possibilities of positive and negative, and expressing a technical freedom that combines engraving and modelling a bas-relief. Original work signed and dated 2002 at the top of the canvas. Provenance: acquired directly from the Pasnic studio, then from a private collection.
