Large folio, red morocco, gilt lace, arms of the city of Paris, fleurs-de-lis at the corners, spine decorated with fleurs-de-lis, gilt edges (Period binding). The most famous and monumental plan of Paris, commissioned by Turgot in 1734 to promote the image and prestige of the French capital. A fine copy in red morocco with the coat of arms of the city of Paris. From the library of Bergier, Chevalier de Saint-Louis, Gentilhomme de la Manche du Roi et Capitaine de Cavalerie, with bookplate. Hinges and nerves rubbed, lower headpiece missing, two jaws split, two corners dull, some old restorations to the binding. Some foxing and versos of plates dull. Small defects in the margins of the last plate. Cohen, 807.
