Laundry board Made from carved and engraved fruitwood. A thick board, slightly curved at the bottom, scalloped at the top and concave at the bottom. Rests on two tapered legs. It is richly decorated with two opposing hearts, a rosette, a scroll, an apple, a stylised face, two teardrops and the inscriptions: ‘GAUTIER MARI NE 1849 A CHEMPANIAT GOUT 1867’.
