ROUND PLAT, STEYR, AUSTRIA, FIRST HALF OF THE 18th CENTURY in pewter with broad horizontal wing "à la cardinal" very finely engraved in full with the line and with the "tremblé", in the centre, Mars in bust, on the wing of four flowery vases and foliate scrolls, alternating with cartouches representing successively, Venus, on her chariot drawn by swans, Artemis and her bow, goddess of the hunt riding a stag, an allegory of the war (?) represented by a lancer on horseback, ... Twin master and town hallmarks of Antoni Franz DUBIEL received master in Linz in 1700: creeping deer / spread fowl / A.F.D.
