PLATELET DESIGNED AS A CAT OF PREY - former Kofler-Truniger collection
Scythian, probably Ziwiye, late 7th century BC.
Chased gold. Probably part of a large silver bowl.
2.2 × 1 cm.
Partially oxidized. Minimal dents to the edge.
Provenance:
- Collection of Ernst and Marthe Kofler-Truniger (1903–1990 & 1918–1999), Lucerne before 1961 (inv. no. K711B).
- Swiss private collection, Lucerne, acquired from the above in ca. 1974.
- By inheritance in the same Swiss family collection, Lucerne.
