First French translation of the complete works of the great philosopher by Victor Cousin, undertaken during his time as tutor to one of Marshal Lannes' sons and part of which is attributed to Abbé Groult (des Lois, de la République et de Huit Dialogues). Spine slightly faded and rubbed, minor rubbing defects to title-pieces.
