PLATO. Ἅπαντα Πλάτωνος. Omnia opera, cum commentariis Procli in Timæum et Politica. Basel, Johann Walder, 1534. 2 parts in one volume in-folio, fawn basane (18th century binding). This is the second Greek edition of Plato's works, following the one published in Venice by Aldus in 1513. It includes for the first time Proclus's important commentary on the Timaeus and the Republic and is augmented by a copious index at the head of the volume. From the library of Antoine-Marie Faivre, with bookplate. Doubled title; marginal repairs to the first four leaves; minor spotting and a few freckles. Binding worn and heavily spotted, missing headpieces and corners, endpapers renewed in the 19th century. Brunet, IV, 695 - USTC: 661590.
