From the libraries of John Jortin (1698-1770), Anglican scholar and theologian, according to a later note in pencil; B.R.T. Balfour; then John H. A. Sparrow (1906-1992), with bookplate.
Missing the first six introductory leaves (including the title) of the first volume, as well as the last blank leaf of the same volume. Spine rebound, marginal spotting to a few leaves.
