PLUTARCH. Ethica sive moralia opera. Basel, Michael Isengrin, 1552. In-folio, fawn half-basin, spine decorated, smooth edges (Modern binding). First edition of the Latin translation of Plutarch's moral works by the German humanist Janus Cornarius, alias Johannes Hainpol or Hagenbut (c. 1500-1558). Michael Isengrin reprinted it in 1554.
Handwritten bookplate on title: Dñi Alberti Pauli Demons senatoris.
Minor worm damage at foot of first few leaves with marginal repair to first three leaves.
