Embroidered pouch, late 18th century, taffeta embroidered with polychrome silk and silver thread in chain stitch. The top is decorated with the monogram LJ in a wreath of roses, a trophy and garlands of knotted flowers. The inside is lined with two flap pockets, one featuring a dog with the caption "his gratitude for his master will last as long as his life", the second embroidered with a guitar with the caption "?... himself who inspires his charming sounds", (minor accidents including stains and discolouration), 10.5 x 18 cm.
