Imperial M3 dagger hilt marking. Nice US M3 dagger, IMPERIAL maker marking on the hilt. The blade is in its original length, and still has a nice tan. Handle has all its leather washers, in very good condition. The soldier engraved the letter E on the handle, under the guard. The pommel, also with its factory tan, has the grenade. Guard well marked: USM3 IMPERIAL. Original USM8 B.M.Co scabbard, first type. Marking B 1 -4 N on the clevis. Functional pressure. Leather lace is period braided. The American soldier has again engraved his initials on the back of the EM scabbard. His laundry number is stenciled M-6644. Set in its original US configuration, never reconditioned by the French Army. US M3 fighting knife Fine US M3 knife marked USM3 IMPERIAL on the guard. Blade retains full original length and much original finish. Handle with all leather washers intact, very good condition, engraved letter E below the guard. Pommel retains original finish with grenade mark. Original first-pattern M8 scabbard marked B.M.Co., throat marked B 1 -4 N. Functional snap fastener. Period braided leather thong present. Initials EM engraved on reverse of scabbard, laundry number M-6644 stenciled. Preserved in original American configuration, never reissued by the French Army.
