Account of the voyage of exploration undertaken at the request of Louis XVI in North Africa (1785-1786) by the Picard naturalist Jean-Louis Marie Poiret (1755-1834). He was one of the first great naturalists to explore North Africa. Colleagues from all over the world dedicated many species to him.
