The first four volumes are devoted to pears and the following to other varieties of fruit: apples, peaches and apricots, plums and cherries, and finally grapes, raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, quinces and medlars. An elegant, unblemished copy in an attractive contemporary binding. Slight tears on the spines of two volumes. Three plates of cherries and their notices (nos. 6 to 8) are missing.
