In-16 of 155 (wrong fig. 123)-[1]-[6] pages, (a8-b4-c8-d4-e8-f4-g8-h4-i8-k4-l8-m4-n8-o1), marbled calf, spine decorated (18th century binding).
Second edition (the first in 1594) of this entertaining treatise dedicated to Madame la Duchesse de Reths. The author was born in the second half of the 16th century in Montélimar and held himself in the highest esteem; he declared that he possessed "the greatest imaginative virtue that has ever existed". Light stain on one page else a good copy. (USTC 38818).
