Embroidered portetière, Central Europe (?), circa 1900, sand-coloured crepe background applied with turquoise and tobacco velvet and embroidered with silk in bright Cornély polychrome. Oriental-inspired decoration of a mihrab strewn with stylised flowers and a cartouche with a flowering vase surmounting an arcature in the lower part, (wear and some not too pronounced traces of damp), 343 x 140 cm.
