Magnificent Meissen gold fond handle vase with floral frieze. Crater-shaped, stocky body on a raised round foot with a stepped, concave neck and wide, sweeping rim. Low-set, volute-shaped, raised, vegetal handles on the sides. Gilding on all sides, partially polished. Circumferential, coloured floral frieze of red roses and rosebuds in polychrome painting on a finely etched vermicelli ground. Centreboard mark. H. 30.5 cm.
