Magnificent Meissen potpourri vase with floral decoration. Baluster-shaped, strongly bulging vase body over a multi-jointed round base. Palm leaves rising in relief on the sides as handles. Hollowed, open-worked lid, crowned by a finely sculpted floral arrangement. Rocaille and scattered flower decoration in relief all round. Large, colourful floral arrangement on both sides of the wall, framed by sculptural festoons of flowers and fruit as well as scattered insects and butterflies. Seated and floating putto above and below with a flower basket and bouquet. Fine polychrome painting with rich gold decoration. Designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler. Remainder; stock; crossed swords mark. H. 78 cm.
