Magnificent silver lidded goblet. Multi-stepped, domed round base with short baluster shaft, merging into a conical bowl with flared rim. The lid crowned by a fully sculpted depiction of an allegorical woman above acanthus leaf decoration and volutes. Goblet wall decorated all round with round medallions, pearl band frieze, scale and leaf decoration. Gilt interior. Marked, hallmark, maker's mark, dealer's mark "V.M.S." for Mayer's V. Söhne. Weight approx. 915 g. H. 42 cm.
