Magnificent coffee and tea service in rococo style silver. 3-piece set; coffee and tea pot, creamer. Over four flared feet with rocaille decoration, pear-shaped, strongly bulbous body, merging into a domed, hinged lid. The wall and lid surrounded by wide, conical fluting and narrow ridges. Fully sculpted floral bouquet as a knob. Deep-set tubular or console moulding ending in a sculpturally worked spout in the shape of a lion's head with an outstretched tongue. Massive wooden ear handle set with rosettes, voluted ends and carved leaf decoration. Marked 800, unknown maker's mark. Total weight approx. 1980 g. H. 13.3 cm - 21 cm. A splendid probably Belgian Rococo style three-piece silver coffee and tea service. Standard mark 800, unknown maker's mark. Probably Belgium. Circa 1900.
