Magnificent Belle Epoque table with scagliola top. Wood, carved in relief, painted, silver-plated and gilded. Curved, ascending base of strong, scrolled volutes with relief sculptural decoration of foliage and stylised fruit. Above a baluster shaft with multiple sections as a support for a round scagliola top plate framed with a profile all round with rich polychrome decoration of a central fruit basket, drapery and foliage as well as large scrolls in marble and lapis lazuli.
