A brown patina bronze paperweight with two crossed hands ("poignée de mains"), the wrists adorned with cuffs decorated with foliage, resting on a quadrangular Sienna yellow marble base adorned on the top with a panel inlaid with hard stone marquetry depicting a bird on a fruited branch, 19th century (10.5×18×12.5cm - small chips to the marble and traces of wear).
