PROTOCORINTHIAN BLACK GLAZE OINOCHOE. Ca. 900 - 700 BC. A terracotta oinochoe with a broad, cylindrical body, a flat base, and a rounded shoulder. A slender neck rises to a trefoil mouth with an elongated, pinched spout. A single arched handle extends from the rim to the shoulder. The lower body is covered in black glaze, while the upper section features a reserved area decorated with a radial pattern of elongated strokes alternating with large circles surrounded by smaller dots.
