A copy bound without cover, comprising 523 pages with a table on the verso of the last page and an undated completion of printing. Autograph signed letter from Marcel Proust to Léon BAKST, on the blank page before the false title, which has been rebacked during binding. Léon Bakst (1866-1924), was a Russian painter and decorator, and was Marc Chagall's teacher. A fine copy with Léon Bakst's figure "L. B." at the foot of the spine. Margin of false title weakened and reinforced.
