In-8 brown half-chagrin with corners, spine ribbed and decorated, double gilt fillet on coverspp. 183-280. Text signed by R., a lawyer, probably Mr. Roman, whose name appears on the spine and on the bookplate on the flyleaf.
Benoît d'Alignan, who died on 11 January 1268, was a French ecclesiastic, Benedictine monk and bishop of Marseille from 1229 to 1267, who twice travelled to the Holy Land.
