High-quality silver historicism centrepiece. Oval, stepped, rising base, merging into an open-worked shaft in the shape of four fully sculpted dolphins. Slightly moulded, oval bowl with glass insert. The long sides with relief depictions of dancing putti above a surrounding laurel leaf frieze. Side handles in the form of two fully sculpted putti rising from acanthus leaves and blowing into a horn. Marked 800, maker's mark. Weight without glass insert approx. 1060 g. H. 24 cm. 32 cm x 19.5 cm.
