These cutlery items (perhaps the 'Detti (manichi) da coltello ordinari alla chinese' of the factory papers, Ginori Lisci, op, cit, p. 308) appear en suite, in terms of the decoration and mould of the handles, with the series of twelve forks and knives now in Villa Pignatelli in Naples (invv. 356-367). The ensemble was published by Livia Frescobaldi in 2019 (AA.VV., La collezione del polo museale della Campania, in 'Quaderni di Doccia', Florence 2029, card 47 pp. 97-98, also for other similar examples in public collections) with a date between 1760 and 1780. But see also d'Agliano in Baroque Luxury Porcelain, exhibition catalogue, Wien 2005, no. 149, pp. 312; 313.
