Horn-handled plane with a rounded sole
Made of wood and metal. The horn is formed from a coil. The mouthpiece is roughly heart-shaped, adorned with foliage and scrollwork. The edges of the two long sides are decorated with a trompe l’oeil braid or cord, embossed and carved. Bears the owners’ initials ‘I.A.B’ and the date ‘1836’. With a wedge but without a blade.
