RARE ASSYRIAN GLASS ALABASTRON. Ca. 7th century BC. A translucent blue glass alabastron with an elongated cylindrical body tapering gently to a rounded base. A slightly flaring rim encircles the narrow opening, forming a defined lip. Size: 120mm x 25mm; Weight: 77g Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. David Giles's private collection, April 2011. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
