Rare Condé coat-of-arms game token purse, first half of the 18th century, gusseted purse in crimson silk velvet embroidered on the lap with silver guipure fleurdelisé skittles; the bottom with the Condé coat-of-arms under a royal crown, surrounded by the collar of the Order of Saint-Michel and that of the Holy Spirit embroidered in silk, filé, canetille and silver cordonnet in couchure and guipure. Lined in cream leather, (wear on the turn), Diam: 10 cm, H. 7 cm. The Château de Versailles owns eight game token purses with comparable arms; ours most probably belonged to Louis IV de Condé, (1710-1740).
