Rare brocatelle with Ottoman flowers, Italy, late 16th or early 17th century, linen and silk brocatelle, large crimson and gold-tipped design of tulips and flowers in full bloom and pomegranates in bloom framed by sinuous vines in bloom with hyacinths, tulips, prunus branches and heavy drooping flowers stamped with a stylised lily. Panel formed from two sewn half-layers, (slight wear), 132 x 52 cm.
