Rare metal identity card from the Direction Générale de la Police Nationale. On the reverse is the photo of the holder, as well as the words Laissez passer et circuler librement, the holder of the present card sous-chef de Bureau at the Direction Generale de la Police Nationale. On the reverse, Carte didentite N° 248 delivree a Mr Alexandre, Fait a Vichy le 6-7-1943. Fingerprint present, as well as the signatures of the Director General of the Police Nationale and that of the holder. This type of official card was available in paper or sheet form. The latter was rarer to find. Rare metal identity card issued by the General Directorate of the National Police. The front features a photo of the holder and the phrase "Free passage and circulation granted. The bearer is a deputy head of office at the General Directorate of the National Police." The reverse indicates Identity Card No. 248 issued to Mr. Alexandre in Vichy on July 6, 1943. Includes a fingerprint and the signatures of the Director General and the cardholder. This type of service card existed in both paper and metal versions, the latter being much rarer.
