A Cycladic marble cup, Early Cycladic II, 2700- 2300 B.C.
This type of cup, with its refined profile and flat base without a pedestal, is quite rare and very few examples are known to date. A very similar piece is preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Naxos (MN 4838), and another in the National Museum of Copenhagen (Inv. 4692).
