RARE DAUNIAN BICHROME POTTERY ASKOS. Ca. 550 - 400 BC. A bichrome askos with a rounded, slightly flattened body, a vertical spout with a flaring rim, and a prominent arched handle at the top. A secondary, smaller protrusion on the right side incorporates a built-in strainer. Behind the arched handle, a pointed projection rises vertically. The surface is decorated with a combination of geometric patterns in dark brown and reddish pigment, including bands, cross-hatching, and rectangular panels.
