RARE EGYPTIAN ALABASTER ROYAL SHABTI OF AMENHOTEP III THE MAGNIFICENT
18th Dynasty, Ca. 1360 - 1349 BC
An Exceptional alabaster royal shabti of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III "The Magnificent". The Pharaoh is depicted as Osiris and is holding a crook and flail in his crossed hands. The torso is inscribed with six partial columns of Chapter 6 from the Egyptian Book of the Dead. The shabti originates from the tomb of the Pharoh, Thebes, Valley of the Kings, KV22. Discovered in 1799 by Napoleon.

Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Christie's, London, King Street Antiquities, 25 April 2007m sale 7376, Lot 88. The tomb was discovered in 1799 by Napoleon.
