RARE GREEK SILVER GILT FIGURINE OF RAM
Ca. 610 - 550 BC.
A silver-gilt figure of a ram shown standing with legs firmly planted and head slightly turned to the side. The body is enveloped in a thick fleece composed of tightly packed, angular tufts in high relief. The ridged spiral horns frame a rounded face with recessed eyes and a softly contoured muzzle.
