Rare magnate saber with jade hilt and gold monogram on the blade, Poland or Hungary 18-19th century. Steel curved blade with a small yelman on the end. On one side of the blade is depicted a noble monogram under a crown inlaid with gold. The hilt consists of a silver guard and a handle made of green jade, the pommel is made of silver in the shape of an eagle's head. The guard and other fittings of the hilt are decorated with high-quality engraving and various stones, probably emeralds, rubies and turquoise. The wooden scabbard is covered with blue velvet which bears traces of age. The silver fittings of the scabbard are also decorated with embossing, engraving and richly decorated with stones. A very beautiful silver-plated cord for wearing the saber is included. A wonderful collector's saber in good condition. Length 85 cm.
