RARE PHOENICIAN GLASS DJED TOWER AMULET BEAD.
Ca. 500 - 300 BC A glass djed amulet bead with an upper cylindrical section decorated with three rings of projecting knobs in opaque yellow and white, above a flaring lower shaft of turquoise glass moulded with vertical flutes. Size: 47mm x 11.4mm; Weight: 12.07g. Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Private collection 1970s-1990s; Reputedly from the Dr. Nolte collection, acquired in the early to mid 20th Century AD.
