RARE ROMAN OVER-LIFESIZE MARBLE FOREARM WITH HAND Ca. AD 1 - 100. An over-lifesize left forearm and hand in fine, pale marble. Preserved from mid-forearm to the fingertips; the proximal break retains a circular mortise for attachment. The palm faces up, fingers gently flexed with the thumb opposed as if to hold a slender attribute. Fingernails and creases crisply modelled; subtle swelling at the wrist. Mounted on a modern stand.
