RARE STATUETTE OF HERACLES - The Embden Collection
Renaissance, Northern Italy, 16th century. Based on an Etruscan model from the 4th century BC.
Bronze with dark patina. Standing Heracles partly draped with a lion skin and holding a horn in his right hand. On a rectangular bronze base.
H 31 cm.
Rubbed. Some verdigris. Minor casting flaws and holes.
