Rare Baccarat crystal glass from the table service of the Head of State, the foot consists of an octagonal base decorated with 8 stars, a francisque supporting a cup with a diameter of 10cm, under the base is the marking "Baccarat France, height 12.5cm piece known only to 2 specimens. An order was placed with the Baccarat crystal works for a service for the head of state's table, as is customary for each presidential term. This service consisted of just 24 pieces and does not appear to have been delivered to its recipient. This extremely rare piece was made by one of Europe's most prestigious master glassmakers.
