Rare protective goggles, assault gas mask. Rare goggles made from a cut-out M5 assault gas mask, probably used by a paratrooper unit. There is a picture on the front page of Air Force magazine showing Robert Noody of the 506th PIR of the 101st Airborne wearing this type of goggle. A fine piece of field equipment.
