RARE LARGE BLUE GLAZED PORCELAIN BALUSTER VESSEL, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, EARLY 19TH CENTURY The vessel of baluster shape of slightly ovoid form resting on a short spreading foot surmounted by a high waisted neck with a flared mouth rim, flanked by a pair of openwork archaistic phoenix shaped-handles. The body all covered by a brilliant cobalt-blue glaze, thinning in tone at the rim and the edges of the handles.
