RARE RED, BLACK AND GOLD LACQUERED WOOD THREE-DRAWER INRO, JAPAN, EDO PERIOD (1615-1868), XIX CENTURY, SIGNED KAJIKAWA
Of wide form, bearing a rich vermilion ground with a fine sprinkling of gold powder, decorated in black silver and gold scene of a relief ox (the eye inlaid), at rest and on the other side the back of it: the wood spherical Ojime and the ivory Netsuke depicting a frog on a lotus leaf, with the original ribbon. The interior and risers gold nashiji. In good conditions, very tiny losses by the rim of compartments, very minor wear on the surface.
