RAVEL (Maurice). Born in Ciboure. 1875-1937. Composer. L.A.S. "Maurice Ravel" to "Chère amie" [the singer Jeanne Krieger]. S.l. [Montfort L'Amaury], 20 January 1926. 1 page in-8. Paper with her number and address. Address with stamp and postmarks. Ravel gives some advice to the Opéra-Comique soprano Jeanne Krieger before she leaves on a concert tour of Scandinavia: ...Prepare a note giving all useful details about the planned performances in Oslo (programmes, artists, subsidies, etc.) and go and see Philippe Berthelot at Foreign Affairs on my behalf (...). He will see you any day, from 5 to 7, and the matter can be settled quickly... I am leaving on Sunday morning. Perhaps I will see you on Saturday at the Opéra-Comique. [Opéra-Comique]. Otherwise, bon voyage, and good success... Ravel himself was preparing to leave for Scandinavia for a concert tour as conductor, which he undertook in February 1926.
