On the backs of four prints, handwritten captions in pencil: General view of the Tomb of Napoleon I, Tomb of the Emperor, "Longwood House" - the House of the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and view of Saint Helena. Print sizes 9.4 x 5.5 cm, 13.6 x 10 cm, 19.6 x 14.2 cm, 20.3 x 14 cm and 20.6 x 14 cm. Some very slight creases on certain images. Historical background: -In the 19th century and until the end of the Second Empire, the island of Saint Helena was an important point of passage for maritime trade, as can be seen from the general view of the Port. With the opening of the Suez Canal and then the Panama Canal, the final resting place of Emperor Napoleon I became as peaceful as it is today.
