First edition of this treatise detailing the errors and manipulations of the Genevan French translations of the Bible. The Jesuit Pierre Coton, former confessor to kings Henri IV and Louis XIII, is indignant about the departures from the Vulgate, which reflect Calvinist positions.
Stains on the binding, but a fine specimen in vellum.
