FRAGMENTARY RELIEF IN LIMESTONE
Egyptian art, New Kingdom, 19th dynasty, 1295-1186 BC
Fragment of a column carved in light relief with a kneeling male figure, hands raised in adoration before the god Atum of Heliopolis, wearing a wig and a pleated linen outfit and adorned with necklaces. Above him, five columns of hieroglyphic inscriptions give the name of the person holding the title of chamberlain: Patjoumaâ.
