RELIEF "THE VISITATION OF MARY"
Late Gothic, Tyrol, ca. 1490.
Wood carved in relief and polychrome painted, as well as parcel-gilt. The pregnant Virgin Mary reaches out her hand to Elizabeth. The two figures stand in a rocky landscape with trees and a fortified town at the top right. Two modern metal hooks for mounting on the back.
81.5 × 61.5 cm.
Restorations. Paintwork and gilding partly retouched. Losses to the lower part.

Exhibited:
- On loan from the Allgäu Local History Museum, dated at least 1946–?.
- On loan to the Bavarian National Museum, Alpine Gallery, Munich (inv. no. L14), until 2010.
Dr. Albrecht Miller attributed the work to Hans Klocker (before 1474–after 1500) in 2010.
