RELIEF in pink sandstone, representing Durga Mahishâsura Mardini, "she who destroys the buffalo demon", depicted standing frontally, with four arms, mastering a buffalo with her two main hands, the other two hands holding her attributes, the club and the trident. The second right arm holds up a club, while the second left arm holds a trident. Her feet, adorned with heavy bracelets, rest on the backs of two lionesses sitting back to back.
